The local competition will run from 9 December 2009 to 16 April 2010 and will be divided into three rounds.
Round 1
- Participating teams must submit an outline of an innovative business idea keeping the local market context and needs into consideration. This can be a product, a service or something that could create value or income, increase sales, or reduce costs. It may consist of entirely new things or it could be a new way to do old things.
- Business ideas must be submitted via the official website www.asiayea.com
- The deadline for submissions is 31 January 2010.
- Proposals are limited to 1,000 words and must be written in English only.
- A minimum of 30 teams will be short listed for Round 2 by 4 February 2010.
Round 2
- Qualified teams will be invited to attend a training workshop on Successful Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Writing on 11 February 2010.
- The teams will need to submit a full business plan elaborating their original business ideas.
- The full business plan must not exceed ten pages (A4 size paper excluding appendices such as charts, tables, diagrams and spreadsheets, standard font is Times New Roman size 12) and written in English only.
- The deadline for submitting the business plan is 16 March 2010.
- All participants has to send 6 hard copies of their submissions

Dhaka 1205 - The names of seven teams will be announced to proceed to Bangladesh Grand Finale on 28 March 2010.
Bangladesh Grand Finale
- Qualified teams will be invited to attend a training workshop on Presentation Skills on 4 April 2010.
- The seven finalist teams will make a formal presentation to the Board of Judges on 16 April 2010 to compete for the championship.
- The presentation will be in English only.
